New Field of Work: Specialization Cycles for Individuals Without Higher Medical Education Working in Healthcare: Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy

In response to current challenges and with a commitment to continuous development, guided by the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated January 23, 2024, No. 112, the Center for Postgraduate Medical Education at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University announces a new field of work for the 2024–2025 academic year: specialization cycles for individuals with higher non-medical education working in healthcare!

Leading scientists, educators, and clinicians from Karazin University, utilizing the undeniable advantages of classical university education with a wide integration of interdisciplinary approaches and scientific opportunities from several schools, create a unique environment for professional growth. This, combined with the high demand in the labor market among stakeholders and the shortage of specialists in these fields, creates unique opportunities for individuals with higher non-medical education.

Within the framework of this project, the Center for Postgraduate Medical Education and the Karazin School of Neurology, Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Medical Psychology invite you to specialization cycles:

• "Clinical Psychology" (from 1 to 6 months) — for master’s degree holders in "Psychology," psychologists and practical psychologists with over 3 years of work experience, and clinical psychologists who have not worked in the specialty for over 3 years;
• "Psychotherapy" (from 1 to 4 months) — for clinical psychologists and psychotherapists who have not worked in the specialty for over 3 years;
• "Speech and Language Therapy" (9 months) — for individuals with higher education in "Special Education" or other specialties in the field of "Education/Pedagogy" (with a qualification/specialization as a speech therapist) and with at least 3 years of experience working as a speech and language therapist in healthcare institutions.

Duration of training: in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated January 23, 2024, No. 112.

Tuition fee: 5,000 UAH per month (one-time and monthly payment options available).

Training format: mixed (fieldwork, face-to-face, and/or distance learning).

Pre-registration for specialization cycles is ongoing. The number of places in the groups is limited. To guarantee enrollment in the specialization cycles, we suggest filling out the pre-registration form.
