Training Program for the Professional Development of Academic Managers in Kyiv
From October 21 to 24, 2025, the Karazin University team — which included Acting Director of the Education and Research Institute “Academy of Teaching” Olha Vyhovska, Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute “Academy of Teaching” Tetiana Datsenko, Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute “Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” Maryna Vasylieva, Deputy Dean of the School of Economics Karyna Panova, Deputy Head of the Office for International Projects Roman Nesterenko, and Head of the Department of Economics and Management of the School of Economics Larysa Tiesheva — took part in the first module of the Professional Development Program for Academic Managers.
The training took place in Kyiv, hosted by the Mariupol State University.
The first module focused on the role of universities in the context of social transformations. The discussions covered modern trends in university autonomy, good governance and leadership, the concept of a civically engaged university, collaboration with employers and communities, and the social mission of universities.
The Professional Development Program for Academic Managers is a unique initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, implemented by the British Council as part of the joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the World Bank titled “Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results.”
