Academic Visit to the University of Latvia within the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Project EDETMS

From 13 to 16 November 2025, representatives of the Department of Marketing and Trade Entrepreneurship of the Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy” took part in a working visit to the University of Latvia.

The visit was organized within the implementation of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet grant project ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH “European Concept of Dynamic Regulation and Coordination of Examination of Goods in Customs Affairs” (EDETMS).

The aim of the trip was to deepen academic cooperation, exchange experiences, and explore modern European practices of dynamic regulation.

During the visit, the participants joined a working meeting and discussions with representatives of the School of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Latvia.

The visit programme included familiarization with:

• European approaches to the coordination and provision of the educational process;

• the system of professional training and advanced qualification of specialists in Latvia;

• current research on the digitalisation of procedures and the introduction of risk-based regulatory models;

• practices of cooperation between university and business environments.

Special attention was paid to the discussion of ways to implement EU experience into national educational programmes, particularly through updating the content of academic disciplines, developing joint scientific research, and preparing joint publications.

The Ukrainian representatives presented the key results achieved within the EDETMS project, outlined national challenges, and proposed directions for further collaboration.

The visit contributed to strengthening international partnership, deepening research cooperation, and shaping a platform for joint academic and scientific initiatives.

The acquired experience will be used to improve methodological support for academic disciplines, enhance the quality of professional training of students, and foster further integration of Ukrainian higher education into the European academic space.
