University Researchers Among the Authors of the Monograph “Ion–Plasma Multilayer and Multicomponent Coatings”
The monograph “Ion–Plasma Multilayer and Multicomponent Coatings” has been published by Ukraine’s leading academic publishing house Akademperiodyka.
Among the authors are members of the Department of Reactor Materials Engineering and Physical Technologies of the Education and Research Institute “School of Physics and Technology” at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University: Professors Mykola Azarienkov, Viacheslav Beresniev, Serhii Lytovchenko, and Associate Professor Olha Maksakova.
The monograph presents the results of scientific research and technological developments carried out by specialists of the National Science Center Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the V. M. Bakul Institute for Superhard Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as the Department of Reactor Materials Engineering and Physical Technologies of the School of Physics and Technology. The research focuses on surface modification through the formation of vacuum–plasma coatings.
The publication provides data on the formation of ion–plasma coatings of various compositions, structures, and architectures, along with new insights into the materials science principles of adjusting phase composition, structure, substructure, and stress state of coatings to ensure their unique functional properties.
Congratulations to Karazin University researchers on this achievement!
