National competition of innovative solutions for the communities of eastern Ukraine "EastCode-2021": we invite you to participate

The UN Program for Reconstruction and Peacebuilding invites you to participate in the national competition of innovative solutions for the communities of eastern Ukraine "EastCode-2021".

The purpose of the competition is to find and support innovative ideas that will help solve the urgent problems of local development of the communities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions (territories under the control of the government of Ukraine).

Citizens from all over Ukraine and even beyond its borders can take part in the competition. However, the proposed idea, in case of victory, should be implemented for the first time in the communities of Donetsk region and Luhansk region, and then it can be scaled to the whole of Ukraine.

Submitted projects and solutions must relate to one of the competition topics:

• good governance and citizen engagement;
• environmental protection, sustainable development and responsible consumption;
• availability of public services.

All applications sent to the competition will be evaluated according to four main criteria: innovation, social impact, realism, scalability.
