On August 10, 2022, a humanitarian cargo arrived in Kharkiv, intended for more than 20 museums, archives and libraries of the city and region, including specialized units of the Karazin University. Assistance in the total amount of almost 3,000,000 hryvnias came from the Ministry of Culture of Poland and the Polish Center for Cultural Assistance in Ukraine.

The nomenclature of the sent materials and equipment was formed in accordance with the requests submitted by the directors of museum, archive and library institutions and divisions.

On behalf of the cultural institutions of Kharkiv and the region, the head of the Association of University Museums of the city of Kharkiv, the head of the department of historiography, source studies and archeology Serhii Posokhov expressed his gratitude to Polish friends and colleagues.

The action was made possible thanks to the joint work of the Kharkiv City Council (in particular, the head of the toponymy department, Roman Kravchenko, a graduate of the history faculty of Karazin University) and Karazin University.

In particular, Serhii Kudelko, the director of the University Center for Local Studies named after academician P. T. Tronka, and Olga Vovk, the deputy director of the center, joined the coordination of the project.

The coordinated work of the university's administrative and economic service led by vice-rector Vasyl Blyndyuk, the motor vehicle division (head Viktor Klymenko) and others made it possible to quickly unload and distribute the valuable aid among the recipients.
