21 december 2023 year

A presentation of Karazin University's Clinical Simulation Dental Center took place at the Regional Dental Clinic. This center is the only one of its kind among Ukrainian universities, and Karazin University is the first higher education institution to create such a powerful practice base.

Additionally, today Karazin University signed a cooperation agreement with "BODNARCLINIC," within which we will interact in the fields of scientific, educational, organizational, cultural activities, and jointly improve medical care for the population.

Greetings were delivered to the Karazin community by Tetiana Yehorova-Lutsenko, Chair of the Kharkiv Regional Council; Olena Logvinova, Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration; and Yevhen Volosov, Chief Doctor of the Kharkiv Regional Dental Clinic.

Supporting Karazin University was Taravneh Shaker Jamil, a graduate of the university and now a well-known doctor. He donated instruments for practical classes to the clinical simulation center, including endodontic probes and sterilization trays. He also presented a letter of thanks from the Ukrainian brand Meddins to the Department of Dentistry.

Karazin University's achievements were presented by Rector Tetiana Kaganovska, Vice-Rector Anatoliy Babichev, and Head of the Department of Dentistry at the School of Medicine, Andriy Nikonov. Participants learned about the capabilities of the clinical simulation equipment and watched video reports from previous events.

It is worth noting that this year Karazin University received a license to train master's students in the specialty 221 "Dentistry." Therefore, this clinical simulation center will become an integral part of the education of future doctors. The innovative equipment will allow for the training of highly qualified specialists, provide students with sufficient practical experience, and conduct events within the framework of postgraduate medical education.

As Rector Tetiana Kaganovska noted: "When we received the license, a commission visited us. The experts inspected everything and said that they had seen a lot, but they could not have imagined seeing such a facility in frontline Kharkiv during the war. Our large Karazin community thanks the partners who believed in us. And after the victory, I am confident we will continue to demonstrate the best results."

Indeed, Karazin University plans to obtain a license for an internship program for the medical faculty. We are moving towards having a complete cycle of medical education at the university. We are confident that this will come true, as we have true friends by our side.
