International Students' Day: University Greetings
International Students' Day is a celebration of youth and a zest for life. It is a day of gatherings and parties, meeting new people, and reuniting with old university friends.
This day traces its origins to the student protest against the occupation in the Czech Republic on November 17, 1939, symbolizing students as a driving force for political change, a phenomenon still observed today. During the challenging times of war, our youth, both in Ukraine and abroad, actively support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, express their civic stance, and contribute to building our future.
Student years are a time of youth and freedom, among the happiest in life. Despite the war, our university community remains united, capable of overcoming any challenges, and committed to advancing education and science in Ukraine. Our family comprises about 18,000 students, with whom we are also celebrating the 220th anniversary of Karazin University today.
You, students, are the future of our country and a vital part of society. We are proud of your determination to learn, represent our university in the international academic community, be conscious and responsible, and maintain your work-life-war balance. We wish you engaging and easy studies and unity in these challenging times!
