International Philosophy Day
Traditionally, on the third Thursday of November, the world celebrates International Philosophy Day — a holiday that reminds us of the power of thought and the inexhaustible human quest for truth.
For Karazin University, this day holds special significance. It was here that the first school of philosophy on the territory of Ukraine was founded. Its representatives carried out a critical reinterpretation of the ideas of German idealism, setting a high intellectual standard for future generations. The school was founded by Johann Schad — one of the first professors of the university and a thinker who laid the foundation for the development of the national philosophical tradition.
Today, Karazin University continues this proud tradition. At the Education and Research Institute of Philosophy, Cultural Studies, and Political Science, a new generation of specialists is being formed — individuals capable of critical thinking, deep analysis, and creating the intellectual space of modern Ukraine.
Congratulations on this occasion! May each new day inspire you to profound reflections, bold questions, and discoveries that change the world.
