International Scientific and Practical Conference "Trends in the Development of Pedagogy and Education in the Context of Digital Transformations" (ByteEd 2025)

On April 17–19, the II International Scientific and Practical Conference “Trends in the Development of Pedagogy and Education in the Context of Digital Transformations” (ByteEd 2025) was held at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The event brought together more than 220 participants from 8 countries: Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, France, Bulgaria, Turkey, Latvia, and China.
At the opening plenary session, the participants were welcomed by Anton Panteleimonov, Vice-Rector of Karazin University (Kharkiv, Ukraine); Olena Karaman, Rector of Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University (Poltava, Ukraine); Vitalii Kurylo, Chair of the Academic Council of Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University (Poltava, Ukraine); Svitlana Omelchenko, Rector of Donbas State Pedagogical University (Sloviansk, Ukraine); and Jozef Zaťko, Rector of the European Institute of Continuing Education (Slovakia).
Distinguished scholars and educators delivered presentations, including Zhang Yuwen (China), Peter Plavčan (Slovakia), Olena Karaman, Vitalii Kurylo, Svitlana Loboda (Poland), Ali Uzun (Turkey), Maryna Hryniova (Rector of V. G. Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University), Oleksandr Malykhin (Head of the Department of Didactics at the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv), Nataliia Aristova (Head of the Department of International Relations and Scientific Cooperation at the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv), and many other domestic and international researchers.
The presentations addressed topics such as national identity in the context of personal security during wartime, the use of digital technologies in the management of modern universities, and the stimulation of learning engagement among higher education students amid digital transformations.
On April 18, the conference featured breakout sessions, the workshop “Generative AI in the Work of a Researcher” by Tetiana Sobchenko, and a relaxation event titled “Spring Evening Therapy” hosted by Inna Osadchenko. On April 19, a poster presentation competition for postgraduate students was held.
We express our gratitude to the organizers of the conference and to our Ukrainian and international colleagues for their participation and collaborative efforts in seeking answers that will promote the development and transformation of pedagogy and education in the digital age.
