International Scientific and Practical Conference "Client-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy Today: Theory and Practice"

Today, in Warsaw, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Client-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy Today: Theory and Practice" has officially opened in an offline format. V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is a co-organizer of the event and is participating online. The conference brings together leading experts from Ukraine, Poland, Austria, and Japan to discuss modern approaches, challenges, and innovative solutions in the field of psychotherapy.

The opening ceremony featured welcome speeches from Barbara Marcinkowska, Rector of the Maria Grzegorzewska University (Warsaw, Poland); Lidia Zabłocka-Żytka, clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, lecturer, and Rector’s Plenipotentiary for International Cooperation; Nadia Kreidun, Dean of the School of Psychology of Karazin University; and Professor Oleksandr Kocharyan, Head of the Department of Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy at Karazin University, Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Client-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy (UICEP), holder of the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP), and individual member of PCE Europe.

A symbolic highlight of the first day was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the Maria Grzegorzewska University (Warsaw, Poland), opening new opportunities for academic and professional collaboration in the field of psychology and psychotherapy.

The conference program is remarkably rich, featuring presentations by supervisors and practitioners from PCE Europe, reports on focusing, psychodrama, the psychosomatics of the future, educational initiatives based on person-centered principles, as well as a workshop on psychological closeness.

This conference is not only an exchange of ideas but also a vibrant dialogue between cultures and schools of psychotherapy, inspiring development and deeper understanding of person-centered practices worldwide.
