Mayor Igor Terekhov Meets with the University Community
The Mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, visited Karazin University. During the visit, he met with the Karazin community, including students, school, researchers, and university staff.
Igor Terekhov emphasized that according to the city's master plan developed by the Kharkiv City Council in collaboration with the foundation of British architect Norman Foster, the universities remain the foundation of Kharkiv. Therefore, it is crucial to preserve the city's unique educational and scientific potential.
During the meeting, members of the Karazin community had the opportunity to communicate with the mayor and ask questions. An award ceremony took place, during which the Acknowledgments of the Mayor of Kharkiv were presented to:
- Associate Professor of the Institute of Cultural Theory and Philosophy of Science, School of Philosophy, Katerina Fisun;
- Associate Professor of the Institute of English Philology and Methodology of Teaching Foreign Languages, School of Foreign Languages, Olha Kuznetsova;
- Associate Professor of the Institute of Modeling Systems and Technologies, School of Computer Science, Mariya Rodinko;
- Head of the Institute of Statistics, Accounting, and Audit, School of Economics, Oksana Nesterenko;
- Associate Professor of the Institute of Zoology and Animal Ecology, School of Biology, Tetyana Atemasova;
- Associate Professor of the Institute of Higher Mathematics, School of Physics, Maryna Revyakina;
- Associate Professor of the Institute of the History of Ukraine, School of History, Denys Zhuravlyov;
- Senior Lecturer of the Institute of Applied Chemistry, School of Chemistry, Viktor Tokarev;
- Associate Professor of the Institute of Ukrainian Language, Faculty of Philology, Roman Tryfonov.
University Rector Tetyana Kahanovska, on behalf of the Karazin community, expressed gratitude to Igor Terekhov for the continuous dialogue, assistance, and support, as well as joint efforts to ensure the well-being of Kharkiv.
