1 september 2025 year

V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is successfully completing student admissions for the new academic year. In her exclusive interview with Dumka, Rector Tetyana Kaganovska outlined the key directions of the university’s development — from creating safe spaces to introducing innovative equipment, implementing international projects, and maintaining academic quality in the context of war.

In particular, the Rector announced that the university is preparing new safe facilities for the partial resumption of offline studies as early as the second semester: up to 3,500 students will be able to study in two or three shifts in secure underground classrooms and laboratories.

The educational process is also changing: academic programs are being adapted to the new realities, with a focus on practical skills, strategic and critical thinking, leadership, and psychological resilience. Cooperation with business, government, and international partners is being strengthened.

Against the backdrop of war and difficult circumstances, the Rector emphasized: the university has not stopped; on the contrary, it is opening a new stage of development, preserving science, people, and safety. Without this, there will be no recovery or development of the state.
