Rector’s Cup in Sport Dancing at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University: Results

On 21 December 2025, the Rector’s Cup in sport dancing took place at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The event became an important occasion for Kharkiv’s sports and cultural community, demonstrating the resilience, unity, and steadfastness of Ukrainian society under the conditions of martial law.

The participants were welcomed, and awards and sports ranks were presented by Tetyana Kaganovska, Rector of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and Oleksandr Vlasenko, Director of the Department for Family, Youth, and Sports of the Kharkiv City Council.

Athletes from seven regions of Ukraine competed for the Rector’s Cup: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Rivne, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Sumy regions.

This made the tournament one of the most representative sporting events in Kharkiv since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

The competition was organised by the Department for Family, Youth, and Sports of the Kharkiv City Council, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, the Kharkiv City Federation of Sport Dancing, and the “Stolytsia” Ballroom Dance School.

The Rector’s Cup once again confirmed that even in the challenging conditions of wartime, Karazin University remains a space for development, youth support, and the preservation of Ukraine’s cultural and sporting traditions.
