Congratulations to the "Karazin Team" from Karazin University, which has been selected as one of the 15 finalists of the 4th European Nuclear Competition for high school students and invited to participate in the in-person final event. The event will be held in Bologna, Italy, from July 14 to 18, 2025, in the format of a scientific camp.

The team includes:

  • Inna Afanasieva, lecturer and Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Physics and Plasma Physics;

  • Mariia Pcholkina, 11th-grade student of Kharkiv Lyceum No. 173;

  • Kateryna Chkuaseli, 11th-grade student of Kharkiv Gymnasium No. 150.

The team sincerely thanks the Karazin Media Studio for their collaborative efforts. The competition video is available at the provided link.

The team members will have a unique opportunity to share their passion for nuclear science, connect with peers from across Europe, and take part in exciting educational visits and events — including a trip to the ENEA Brasimone Research Centre, which hosts various experimental research facilities focused on fission reactor studies within the former nuclear reactor complex.
