ХХ Kharkiv International Skovorodin readings "Traveler through three worlds Hryhoriy Skovoroda: Skovoroda's work in the context of world philosophy for the 300th anniversary of his birth"

On October 9, the XXX Kharkiv International Skovoroda readings "Traveler through three worlds Hryhoriy Skovoroda: Skovoroda's work in the context of world philosophy to the 300th anniversary of his birth" took place on the grounds of Karazin University.

At the event, Karazin University was represented by university rector Tetyana Kaganovska, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work Oleksandr Holovko. Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Ivan Karpenko, moderated the meeting.

Oleksiy Lytvynov, director of the Department of Science and Education of the Kharkiv State University, Eduard Pavlenko, director of the Department of Culture and Education of the Kharkiv State University, Eduard Pavlenko, director of the National Literary and Memorial Museum of H.S. Skovoroda Natalia Mytsai, director of the Institute of Philosophy named after H.S. Skovoroda of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Anatoliy took part in the conference. Yermolenko.

Scientists from the H. S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, H. S. Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Prykarpattia National Vasyl Stefanyk University, University of Siena (Italy) and other educational institutions.

Tetyana Kaganovska congratulated the participants of the readings: "Thank you for preserving the tradition of holding Skovorodiniv readings. This is an extremely important event, because Hryhoriy Skovoroda is not just a majestic figure, he is our symbol. Despite all his actions, the enemy will not be able to destroy what is very dear and important to us."

Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Ivan Karpenko, thanked those present and noted that the destruction of the Hryhoriy Savych museum is an unsuccessful attempt to destroy the worldview foundations of the life of the Ukrainian people.

After the welcoming speech, two plenary sessions were held, the results of the readings were presentations and a discussion on the following issues:

Ukrainian Skovorodiana: a study of the work of H.S. Skovoroda in Ukraine 1991–2021;
ancient ideas and motifs in the philosophy and poetry of H.S. Skovoroda;
"Bible lover Hryhoriy Skovoroda". Frying pan as a Christian thinker;
H.S. Skovoroda and his philosophy in the spiritual space of European rationalism.

This year, the readings have a special significance not only because of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding philosopher. The National Literary and Memorial Museum of H.S. Skovoroda, a sacred place of Ukrainian culture, was barbarically destroyed by the Russian invaders.

So the participants of the event appealed to everyone who cares about the future of Ukrainian culture to join the restoration of the museum.
