On May 2, a significant event took place at Karazin University for students of the Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel Business — a meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleksandr Karasevych, and the Head of the Personnel Management Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vitalii Moshkivskyi.
The event was part of the ongoing cooperation between Karazin University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine under a signed memorandum. Oleksandr Karasevych and Vitalii Moshkivskyi spoke about career opportunities in the diplomatic service, the requirements for future professionals, and current trends in the field of international relations.
Special attention was given to practical steps: how to enter the MFA system, which skills are crucial, and how the work of a diplomat differs under wartime conditions.
"Today, Kharkiv is not just a student city or an industrial center. It is a symbol of Ukraine’s resilience. We didn’t come here to lecture you — we came to listen and give honest answers to any of your questions," emphasized Vitalii Moshkivskyi.
The meeting brought together not only the Karazin University community but also students from other leading institutions in Kharkiv — Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, and the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute." It became a vivid example of inter-university exchange and support for young professionals who plan to build their futures in international affairs.
Karazin University continues to serve as a platform for open dialogue between students and key representatives of state institutions, strengthening the connection between education and real diplomatic practice.
