Karazin University Members Recognized Among the Best Tourism Professionals of the Kharkiv Region

On October 11, 2024, the "Tourism and Peace" ceremony took place at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, recognizing the best tourism professionals in the Kharkiv region. The event was organized by the Kharkiv Organizational and Methodological Center for Tourism, with the support of the Kharkiv Regional Council and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Anatolii Parfinenko, Acting Head of the Department of World Politics, Diplomacy, and Tourism Business at the Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel Business, was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Kharkiv Regional Council.
The team of the Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local Lore named after Academician P. T. Tronko was also honored with a certificate from the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
The winners and prize-winners of the regional youth competition "Discover Kharkiv" for the best virtual tour were announced. In the category "Routes: Resting in Kharkiv Region after Victory," second place was awarded to graduate of the School of Foreign Languages, Yelyzaveta Zykova, for her project "Recreational Areas of the City of Lozova." Third place in the same category went to Dmytro Novikov, a student of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy (supervised by Oleh Tavshunskyi) for his project "Colors of the Unbreakable City."
Additionally, Irina Skryl, Associate Professor of the Department of Socio-Economic Geography and Regional Studies named after Kostyantyn Nemyets, School of Geology, Geography, Recreation, and Tourism, and Olga Vovk, Deputy Director of the Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local History named after Academician P. T. Tronko, were recognized for their work on the competition jury.
