Karazin Contribution to the German-Ukrainian Project: "Investigating the Possibility of Using Crystals to Extract Electrons with 6 GeV Energy at DESY"
The German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft - DFG) has provided financial support for the joint German-Ukrainian project "Investigating the Possibility of Using Crystals to Extract Electrons with 6 GeV Energy at DESY" (2024–2025).
The project is based on the Grinenko-Shulga mechanism — a stochastic mechanism of deflecting charged particles with a bent crystal. German reviewers of the project particularly emphasize the originality of the proposed method.
Congratulations to the staff of the Education and Scientific Institute "School of Physics and Technology," project co-executors: Professors of the Institute of Nuclear and High-Energy Physics named after O. I. Akhiezer, Mykola Shulga, Ihor Kyryllin, Serhii Trofymenko, and Mykola Bondarenko, as well as Associate Professor of the Institute of Nuclear and High-Energy Physics named after O. I. Akhiezer, Maxim Malovitsa.
We wish them success in accomplishing their tasks!
