Karazin Community Commemorates the Victims of the Holodomor

Today, the Karazin University community joined the nationwide commemoration of the victims of the Holodomor and other man-made famines, lighting candles of remembrance together.

We honoured the millions of innocent victims of mass artificial famines, the Holodomor of 1932–1933, and political repressions — preserving the continuity of historical memory and our shared responsibility to pass it on to future generations.

The lit candle is our gesture of solidarity and a reminder that the truth about these crimes must continue to be voiced so that such tragedies are never repeated.
