Karazin University students joined the workshop ‘Basics of Information Hygiene and Threats to the Information Space’
On 23 September, Maria Zaitseva, the head of the ‘Invincible Kharkiv’ Charitable Foundation and a member of the Kharkiv District Council, held a workshop on ‘The Basics of Information Hygiene and Threats to the Information Space’. A lot of Karazin students joined the online event to discuss an extremely important and up-to-date topic.
The project is being implemented by the Charitable Foundation for Social Health with the technical support of UN Women in Ukraine and with funding from the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF).
During the workshop, the participants discussed important aspects of security in the virtual world and the protection of personal information, including information hygiene during the war. Ms Maria explained the types of information threats and how to recognise fakes and disinformation in the news stream with examples. The psychological impact of information war on society was highlighted as well.
We are grateful for the opportunity to join the discussion of important issues of information security in the modern conditions!
