The Karazin Community Joined the Celebration of World Mental Health Day

Every year on October 10th, World Mental Health Day is observed worldwide.

For Ukrainians, this date is more important than ever, as in the conditions of war, the resilience of the country is upheld by every one of its citizens. Therefore, it is important to take care of one's mental health and support loved ones. 

Today, an interactive event titled "Journey to Mental Health" took place at the "Yermilov Center" of Karazin University. Students and the staff of the School of Psychology at Karazin University, in collaboration with the experts from the Kharkiv Regional Center for Mental Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Kharkiv Regional Palace of Children and Youth Art, participated in the event. The regional coordinator of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program, Associate Professor of the School of Psychology, Liliia Zotova, introduced the attendees to self-help techniques that help to calm oneself, stabilize one's state, and find resources to move forward. The event was also attended by the Director of the School of Science and Education of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Olga Bezpalova. 

The Dean of the School of Psychology, Nadiya Kreidun, emphasized that the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program "How Are You?" initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, is aimed at preserving our mental health. So today we are talking about techniques that will help preserve our mental health and emotional well-being.
