Karazin University is an active partner in the international educational and scientific areas. In April 2023, at the invitation of our Polish colleagues, the University took part in two international events.

On April 3–4, a delegation from Karazin University headed by Vice-Rector Borys Samorodov participated in the Focus on Ukraine conference organized by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of the international program "Solidarity with Ukraine". The conference was held at the University of Gdańsk (Gdańsk).

The program "Solidarity with Ukraine" aims to support students and doctoral students who were forced to seek refuge in Poland because of the war. As part of this program, Karazinites have the opportunity to study and attend summer and winter schools at partner universities: Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan), University of Warsaw (Warsaw), Poznan University of Economics (Poznan), Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk (Słupsk), University of Gdańsk (Gdańsk), University of Lodz (Lodz), University of Opole (Opole), Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin) and many others.

On April 5–6, the Karazin University delegation also took part in the inaugural meeting of the Alliance of European Universities’ project "4EU+ for Ukraine", which was organized at the University of Warsaw. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the experience of leading universities in supporting research, assessing the quality of education, developing competencies, career development, etc.

The 4EU+ for Ukraine project is being implemented throughout 2023 and aims to support academic cooperation between 4EU+ partners and Ukrainian universities, as well as to develop the scientific and teaching potential of teachers, improve the quality of the educational process by adapting individual educational trajectories to the requirements of the labor market and support academic mobility (virtual and blended).
