A museum is a place where time stands still, and history, science, and culture come to life. It is where our memory is preserved, our worldview is shaped, and our curiosity about the world begins.
Karazin University is not only a powerful educational and scientific hub but also a true cultural space. Within its walls, unique museums operate, each offering visitors extraordinary insights into history, science, and the human experience:
-
The Museum of Nature — one of the oldest natural history museums in Ukraine, recently reopened after a period of closure. It is once again open to all who wish to explore the richness of the animal kingdom, geological rarities, and specimens from around the world.
-
The Museum of University History — a true repository of academic tradition, bringing to life the 220-year history of Karazin University and the names of its outstanding alumni.
-
The Museum of Archaeology — where you can immerse yourself in millennia of history, see unique artifacts, and feel the spirit of ancient cultures.
-
The Museum of Astronomy — showcasing the history of space observation and the development of astronomy at Karazin University.
Yesterday, on May 17, our museums opened their doors to all visitors as part of the event “Museum Night: Myths and Legends of Karazin Museums.” Guided tours, an atmosphere of discovery, and the true spirit of the university once again proved that our museums are vibrant, modern, and captivating for a wide audience.
If you would like to join a tour of our museums, you can find up-to-date information via the link.
Today, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all museum workers — researchers, guides, and collection curators — for their daily, often unseen, but incredibly valuable work.
Karazin University Museums are not only about the past — they are about the future. They are places where new perspectives on knowledge, culture, and human heritage are born.
Happy holiday, friends! We invite you to explore, be inspired, and return to the museums — because they are truly worth it.
