Karazin University has been Included in the First Edition of the THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025

On November 21, 2024, the first edition of the THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025 was published, the result of a joint study by the international ranking agency Times Higher Education and Schmidt Science Fellows. It included 749 higher education institutions from 92 countries, setting a record for the first edition of the ranking.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) took the top spot globally, followed by Stanford University in second place, and the National University of Singapore in third. India (65 universities) and Turkey (45 universities) had the highest number of institutions in the ranking.

Karazin University ranked in the 601+ category globally. In total, 11 Ukrainian universities made it into the ranking, including Sumy State University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute". Additionally, 15 Ukrainian higher education institutions were granted "reporter" status.

The ranking was based on the analysis of 11 performance indicators evaluating institutions in three key areas, each representing a stage in the life cycle of research projects: input (funding), process (success indicators, administrative support, and promotion), and outcomes (publications, research quality, and reputation).
