Karazin University in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024
On December 5, 2023, the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024 were published, featuring nearly 1,400 universities from around the world. Karazin University entered this ranking for the first time, securing the 3rd position among Ukrainian universities and ranking 821–840 globally.
In total, 8 Ukrainian higher education institutions made it into the ranking:
- Lviv Polytechnic National University (647th position globally);
- Sumy State University (741–750th position globally);
- Karazin University (821–840th position);
- Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (861–880th position);
- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (1051–1100th position);
- Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (1101–1150th position);
- Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (1151–1200th position);
- Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (position 1201+).
The ranking methodology includes indicators developed to measure an institution's ability to address major global environmental, social, and governance challenges. Among these indicators are environmental sustainability metrics and social impact indicators, including equality, knowledge exchange, educational impact, employment, and more.
