On October 17, 2025, the Institute of Continuing Education, together with the biomedical laboratory Karazin BioMed and the University History Museum, held a scientific cluster titled “Karazin University — for Students of Academic and Scientific Lyceums of Kharkiv and the Kharkiv Region.”
The event brought together students of grades 9–11 and teachers of the Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Academic Lyceum ‘INTEL 13’” of the Kharkiv Regional Council.

During the workshop at Karazin BioMed, Associate Professor of the Department of Biochemistry of the School of Biology, Senior Research Fellow, and Lecturer at the Karazin School of Clinical Biochemistry, Yurii Kot, conducted a practical session for lyceum students and teachers.
The session focused on the creation of implants and tissue equivalents — skin, cornea, bone, and cartilage — used in transplantology, reconstructive surgery, regenerative medicine, traumatology, orthopedics, cardiac surgery, dentistry, and in testing new medical and pharmaceutical products.

An engaging and hands-on session also took place at the University History Museum. Director Oleksandr Novak introduced participants to the history of Karazin University’s development and highlighted the distinctive features of a modern classical university in Ukraine, Europe, and the world.

The signing of a cooperation agreement became the regulatory and organizational foundation for future collaboration between Kharkiv Academic Lyceum “INTEL 13” and Karazin University. The agreement was signed by the Lyceum’s Director Halyna Mykhailenko and the University’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Anatolii Babichev.

Halyna Mykhailenko expressed her gratitude to the University’s Rector, Professor Tetiana Kaganovska, for creating favorable conditions for the event and for the inspiring scientific ideas that the Lyceum’s teaching staff plans to integrate into their educational process and future cooperation with Karazin scholars.

At the end of the event, students received gifts from the University, while teachers were awarded certificates of advanced training based on their participation in the master class “Using Modern Scientific Technologies and Karazin University Education to Build Career Paths for Lyceum Graduates” conducted by Mykhailo Tatarynov.
