Karazin University Continues its Work for Teachers and Lecturers
On October 24, 2025, Karazin University launched professional development courses for the fourth group of teachers and lecturers from institutions of basic and complete secondary education in the Industrialnyi, Kyivskyi, and Nemishlyanskyi districts of the Kharkiv City Council, as well as for a representative of a vocational education institution and a practical psychologist from a state-owned secondary school.
The Director of the Institute of Continuing Education, Mykhailo Tatarynov, acquainted the participants of the introductory session with the outcomes of the webinar “Money Follows the Teacher — A New Model of Financing Professional Development of Educators” held on October 23, 2025, by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
He also presented the algorithm for preparing the final presentation project, explained the specifics of conducting training sessions in accordance with the number of hours and credits chosen by the educators, emphasized certain aspects of institutional audits in educational institutions, and provided safety and life protection instructions in the context of martial law.
During the professional development courses, the participants will be taught by leading academic and teaching staff of the Department of Ukrainian Language, the Department of History of Ukrainian Literature of the School of Philology, and lecturers from the School of Psychology of Karazin University, as well as by regular external partners — highly qualified teacher-trainers and administrators from the municipal institutions “Kharkiv Lyceum No. 28 of the Kharkiv City Council” and “Kharkiv Gymnasium No. 77 of the Kharkiv City Council.”
The teachers were offered a variety of topics and practical sessions in line with the concept of the New Ukrainian School, including visits to classes held in an underground school.
At the beginning of the introductory session, the course participants honored the memory of Ukrainian citizens who died as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The professional development courses will continue until November 11, 2025, and until November 20, 2025, depending on the specifics of the program chosen by each participant.
