Karazin University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction with the State Customs Service of Ukraine

On November 19, a memorandum of cooperation and interaction was signed between the State Customs Service of Ukraine and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The event was attended by the university rector, Professor Tetyana Kaganovska, Director of the Education and Research Institute "Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel  Business" Mykola Pysarevskyi, and representatives of the Kharkiv Customs, along with the Acting Head of Kharkiv Customs Andriy Tantsirov.

The cooperation is planned in the following areas:

  • Training specialists with higher education in customs affairs and foreign economic activity,
  • Developing proposals and recommendations to improve the quality of educational programs for training specialists at the university,
  • Involving representatives of the State Customs Service and its regional bodies in the university’s educational process,
  • Developing academic disciplines aimed at enhancing the professional orientation of university students and their practical preparation for work in the State Customs Service and its regional bodies,
  • Organizing qualification improvement (internships) for university academic staff within the State Customs Service and its regional bodies,
  • Allowing university students to complete industrial, pre-diploma, and other types of internships within the State Customs Service and/or its regional bodies,
  • Jointly working on proposals and initiatives to improve customs legislation,
  • Organizing and conducting training and professional development for officials of the State Customs Service and its regional bodies,
  • Organizing and holding joint conferences, lectures, seminars, discussions, round tables, and other events, as well as joint participation in educational, scientific, sports, cultural, and other collaborative projects and events, including international ones, aimed at fostering cooperation.
