Karazin University Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Kharkiv College

V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the Institution of Vocational (Vocational-Technical) Education “Kharkiv Vocational College” have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of vocational (vocational-technical) education.
The Memorandum was signed on August 20, 2025, by Rector of Karazin University Tetiana Kahanovska and Director of Kharkiv College Vasyl Shepelenko.
The document provides for mutually beneficial, non-commercial cooperation in the areas of research, education, teaching and methodological support, organizational, informational, expert, publishing, and other socially significant activities important for the development of Ukrainian society.
The main areas of cooperation include:

ensuring a high-quality educational component in the training of students and in the professional development of staff, in accordance with current legislation;

meeting the needs of the development of science, education, and production;

ensuring a high-quality educational and upbringing component in the training of students and in the professional development of staff, expanding access to cultural heritage and cultural resources, as well as to sports infrastructure;

meeting socially significant needs for the sustainable development of civil society, supporting community initiatives, and ensuring their economic resilience.
The cooperation will be carried out on the principles of partnership, legality, transparency, respect for public interests, rationality, mutual respect, and integrity.
During the meeting with Rector of Karazin University Tetyana Kaganovska and Director of Kharkiv College Vasyl Shepelenko, the participants discussed the strategic vision for the development of the higher and vocational education system in Ukraine, prospects for partnership, and the implementation of joint research and educational projects.
The discussion took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere with the participation of Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching Anatolii Babichev, Dean of the School of Economics Vitalii Dyachek, Professor of the Department of Economics and Business Administration Viktoriia Prokhorova, Professor of the Department of Economics and Business Administration Svitlana Shepelenko, Deputy Directors of Kharkiv College Alla Fedotova and Olha Yarmoliuk.
The continuity of education and training of professionals for the rebuilding of the country during wartime and in the post-war period, while fostering economic development, are among the most pressing issues of today. The joint initiative was launched by Rector of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Tetyana Kaganovska.
To commemorate the occasion, the Rector presented her book “Karazin University. Reflections of the Rector in Times of War.”
