Karazin University Participates in the AURORA University Alliance Training
From October 13 to 17, 2025, a delegation from Karazin University took part in a training session on course design and academic matchmaking held at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (the Netherlands) within the framework of the Aurora University Alliance activities.
The event brought together nearly one hundred lecturers from the Alliance’s partner universities who collaborated on innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and international cooperation.
The Karazin University delegation included:

Maryna Vasylieva, Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy;

Nataliia Vynnykova, Head of the Department of International Relations, Education and Research Institute Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel Business;

Olha Vyhovska, Director of the Education and Research Institute Academy of Teaching;

Iryna Kuzina, Acting Head of the Department of Sociology, Education and Research Institute of Sociology and Media Communications;

Anna Hrinchenko, Associate Professor at the Department of Automation, Metrology, and Energy-Efficient Technologies, Education and Research Institute Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy.
During the training, participants became acquainted with best practices in the internationalization of education, including:

BIPs (Blended-Intensive Programs) — short-term blended mobility programs;

LOUIS Competence Framework (Learning Outcomes in Universities for Impact on Society) — a competence framework aimed at enhancing universities’ social impact;

SEISMIC (Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Scales to Measure Impact Competence) — tools for assessing competences in social entrepreneurship and innovation.
Within the Peace Education Hub, Karazin University representatives presented their own academic courses integrated into a 30-ECTS credit module on peacebuilding.
Agreements were reached with project coordinators to involve guest lecturers from AURORA Alliance universities to deliver lectures on specific topics within their areas of expertise.
Another area of cooperation was established with the Institute for Peace at Université Paris-Est Créteil Val-de-Marne (France). The parties agreed to organize joint activities for students and lecturers dedicated to studying peace and the transformation of societies that have experienced or are currently experiencing war.
