Karazin University and “Olexandr Savchuk Publisher”: A Shared Commitment to Promoting Ukrainian Publications

Karazin University and the publishing house “Olexandr Savchuk Publisher” have built a long-standing and meaningful collaboration aimed at promoting Ukrainian book publications—scholarly, historical, and publicistic.
Of particular value is the fact that among the authors and protagonists of the publisher’s books are scholars, alumni, and historical figures closely connected with Karazin University. Moreover, Olexandr Savchuk himself is not only a publisher and researcher but also a university staff member who actively contributes to its academic and cultural life.
On October 1, 2025, during his visit to the university, Mr. Savchuk presented Rector Professor Tetyana Kaganovska with a new landmark publication — the monograph by Valentyn Otamanovsky “Cities of Right-Bank Ukraine in the Second Half of the 17th–18th Centuries.” This is a comprehensive historical study of the transformations of Ukrainian cities in the early modern era, published in 2025 in cooperation with the Vinnytsia Museum.
During the meeting, new ideas for collaboration were discussed, including future publishing initiatives, opportunities for book presentations, academic discussions, and joint cultural events.
Karazin University highly values this partnership as an example of sustainable cooperation that contributes to the development of Ukrainian scholarship, culture, and the publishing sphere.
