Karazin University is stepping up to a new level of international cooperation!
Starting July 1, 2025, the grant program KhNU-LMU BioBridge will be launched, initiated jointly with Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and supported by DAAD. The program will run until 2029 and will serve as a strategic platform for the development of biological education between Ukraine and Germany.
At the core of the project are the students, faculty, and researchers of Karazin University’s School of Biology, who have been actively collaborating in a hybrid format with colleagues from the Gesellschaft für Integration und Kultur in Europa e. V. (GIK e. V.) since 2022. Students have been participating in practical and laboratory modules in Munich, coming together from different countries of the European Union.
The KhNU-LMU BioBridge program offers new opportunities:
-
Studying practical modules at LMU;
-
Preparing qualification theses using LMU’s resources;
-
Faculty internships to adapt Karazin’s biology curricula to European educational standards;
-
Scientific research and academic mobility for staff;
-
Summer schools, workshops, and inter-university seminars for students of Karazin University and LMU;
-
Strengthening student connections between Ukraine and Germany.
