The Karazin Charity Winter Ball United the University Community in Support of Protecting Ukraine’s Sky

The Karazin Charity Winter Ball is more than just a university tradition.
It is a student-led initiative that brought together the entire university community around a shared goal — acting responsibly and supporting the country through concrete actions.

Although the event was created and organized by students, it became a common cause for the whole University — faculty members, staff, and alumni. In times of war, the youth of Karazin University go beyond symbolic gestures, taking on leadership and responsibility.

Thanks to the Charity Winter Ball, nearly UAH 289,000 has already been raised to purchase anti-Shahed drones for the protection of Ukraine’s airspace. The fundraising campaign continues until February 1, 2026, and everyone is still welcome to contribute.

This evening was about remembrance and gratitude, unity and trust, and about the University as a living community where student initiative finds support and transforms into real strength.

Karazin University is proud of its students and the entire university family. Because it is through initiative, solidarity, and shared purpose that the future of the country is being shaped today.
