Karazin Students Met with Andrii Bedniakov

12 september 2025 year

At Karazin University, students had the opportunity to meet with well-known TV host and volunteer Andrii Bedniakov at an event organized by the University Student Council. The gathering filled the hall with engaged young people, as Mr. Bedniakov has become a symbol of the resilience of Ukrainian volunteerism and a strong voice of the Mariupol community, which he has represented throughout the years of war. For many students, his work is also a reminder of a happy childhood free from the hardships of wartime.

During an open and heartfelt conversation, students learned more about Mr. Bedniakov’s professional path, his future plans and dreams, and had the chance to ask their own questions. Many of the topics raised were deeply emotional: the fate of occupied towns and villages, love for one’s homeland, the value of community unity, and the motivation to act despite all challenges.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Students expressed their gratitude to Andrii Bedniakov for his volunteer work and his commitment to the fate of devastated cities such as Mariupol, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kupiansk. At the conclusion, representatives of the Student Council, Anton Serdiuk and Sofiia Panasiuk, presented the guest with a symbolic gift bearing the University’s emblem as a keepsake of Kharkiv and Karazin University.

Such meetings once again prove that mutual support and unity help build a strong Ukraine, encourage reflection on shared experiences, and inspire young people to take an active role in the life of their community.
