Karazin Football Players – in the Final of the Futsal World Championship.

The Ukrainian national futsal team has secured a spot in the final stage of the World Championship.

The competition is scheduled to take place in September 2024 in Uzbekistan.

The successful performance in the qualifying cycle was attributed to the players from the futsal section of Karazin University: Daniil Abakshin (School of Radio Physics, Biomedical Electronics, and Computer Systems), Yaroslav Lebid, and Serhiy Malishko (School of Economics).

Ukraine faced teams from Poland, Serbia, and Belgium in the qualifiers, resulting in 4 victories, 1 draw, and 1 loss, ultimately securing the first-place finish.

Daniil Abakshin, in particular, scored 6 goals, while Yaroslav Lebid and Serhiy Malishko contributed with successful assists.
