Interactive Lecture: “European Development Opportunities for Ukrainian Youth”

13 may 2025 year

On May 9, 2025, in celebration of Europe Day, researcher of the East Ukrainian Center for European Studies (EAUCES) Olga Bulgakova, with the support of the Department for Youth and Children’s Affairs of the Bakhmut City Council, held an interactive lecture titled “European Development Opportunities for Ukrainian Youth.”

The event gathered over 30 participants — active students, including many from the eastern region of Ukraine, a significant number of whom have become internally displaced persons since February 24, 2022.

During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to:

  • Analyze the basics of effective self-presentation and strategies for successfully implementing their own projects and initiatives with the support of the EU;

  • Learn how to work with resources provided by the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, the European Youth Portal (including the European Solidarity Corps), Erasmus Intern, AIESEC, Erasmus Student Network, House of Europe, and various free EU educational platforms. They also explored platforms such as EURAXESS, OpenPlato, The EU Academy, EU Study Days, as well as the “Young European Ambassadors” initiative and the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Ukraine;

  • Understand and organize the key components for creating a universal application package for successfully applying to online and offline opportunities related to education, internships, volunteering, and employment in both national and European contexts.

We sincerely thank all participants for their active engagement!
