V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University continues to make a strong statement on the international stage. This week, our delegation participated in several key events in the capital of Brussels, Belgium: the conference NESTet 2026, the 10th General Assembly of European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN), and the exhibition Skills HUB.

Voice of Kharkiv in Europe

The Director of the Institute of Physics and Technology, Pylyp Kuznietsov, presented the unique experience of Karazin scientists during the special workshop “Nuclear Research, Education and Energy in Times of War: Lessons from Ukraine.”

The presentations focused on several key topics:

  • Resilience and adaptability: how the Institute of Physics and Technology continues to provide high-quality education and engage young people in the nuclear field despite the challenges of martial law and its proximity to the front line.
  • Integration into the EU: the role of the university in the NURECAB project (EU–Ukraine Nuclear Research and Education Capacity Building), which helps build new partnerships between Ukrainian and European research centers.
  • The future of the sector: practical steps to preserve Ukraine’s intellectual capital for the future reconstruction of the energy system.

Exhibition space and new partnerships

At the ENEN Scientific Expo, our university presented its own stand, allowing European colleagues to explore the educational potential of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and discuss joint projects in the field of nuclear research.

Participation in the General Assembly of European Nuclear Education Network confirmed that Ukraine is an integral part of the European nuclear community, while the Institute of Physics and Technology at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University remains one of its key educational centers.

We are proud of our colleagues and continue working toward the global recognition of Ukrainian science.
