Elina Svitolina and Sergiy Stakhovsky Held a Masterclass for Young Athletes at the University Tennis Club “Unicourt”
The “Unicourt” Tennis Club of the Karazin National Sports Center at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University hosted two renowned tennis players — Elina Svitolina, the most successful Ukrainian tennis player of all time, for whom Kharkiv has played an important role throughout her professional career, and Sergiy Stakhovsky, a former top-level Ukrainian tennis player, ATP tournament champion, and now a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The guests met with Tetyana Kaganovska, Rector of Karazin University, and discussed the importance of developing youth sports and supporting talented young athletes, especially during wartime.
After that, the stars held a master class for young tennis players from the Kharkiv region. The event took place as part of the Svitolina Foundation program, which aims to inspire the next generation of Ukrainian tennis players and promote the development of sports in the regions of Ukraine. The participants of the master class took part in engaging tennis exercises and experienced the atmosphere of a true sports celebration.
At the end of the meeting, the young athletes received memorable gifts from the Svitolina Foundation, took group photos, and got autographs from their idols.
