Karazin University Associate Professor Arsenii Riabenkyi Posthumously Awarded the Order of Merit (3rd Class)

According to Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 236/2026 of March 12, 2026, Arsenii Riabenkyi was posthumously awarded the Order of Merit (Ukraine), 3rd Class, for his personal courage and heroism displayed in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and for his selfless service to the Ukrainian people.

Arsenii Viktorovych Riabenkyi was a combat veteran and Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental Monitoring and Protected Areas of the Education and Research Institute of Ecology at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. He was not only a talented scholar and lecturer but also a true patriot who took up arms to defend Ukraine against Russian aggression.

The bright memory of this scholar-hero will forever remain in the hearts of the Karazin University community. His courage and sacrifice stand as an example of the resilience of the Ukrainian people.
