Associate Professor of the Department of Mycology and Phytoimmunology Oleksandr Zinenko became a member of the California Academy of Sciences
Candidate of biological sciences, associate professor of the Department of Mycology and Phytoimmunology of the Faculty of Biology Oleksandr Zinenko was nominated as a member of the California Academy of Sciences.
The California Academy of Sciences is a renowned scientific and educational institution dedicated to revitalizing the natural world through science, learning and collaboration.
Oleksandr Zinenko's scientific interests include population biology, molecular phylogenetics, and molecular ecology. Recently, the scientist published his research on snake venom, which contributed to the significant development of snakebite treatment in Ukraine.
At the Karazin University, Oleksandr Zinenko is engaged in research, teaching and popularization of science. On his Facebook page, he noted: "I understand that I received this award for all Ukrainian scientists who continue to work despite the war."
