The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a Resolution on awarding the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prize for Young Scientists for 2025. Among the laureates are four representatives of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, whose scientific achievements were highly evaluated by the Committee on Education, Science, and Innovation.
The Prize was awarded for the following works:

for the research “Tensile–Compressive Plasticity in Metric and Normed Spaces” — Olesia Olehivna Zavarzina, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Associate Professor of the Department;

for the research “Social Effects and Challenges of Distance Learning in Higher Education in Ukraine: From COVID-19 to the War” — Dmytro Mykolaiovych Boiko, Candidate of Sociological Sciences (PhD), Head of the Department;

for the research “Large-Scale Processes in the Atmosphere and Geospace over Ukraine Affecting the Functioning of Dual-Use Radio Systems” — Yevhen Hennadiiovych Zhdanko, PhD student of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and Mykyta Bohdanovych Shevelev, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Senior Research Fellow of the Faculty.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prize for Young Scientists was established in 2007 to support the development of national science, stimulate fundamental and applied research, enhance the prestige of scientific work, and strengthen the role of young researchers in society. Since 2008, 20 prizes have been awarded annually, each in the amount of 20,000 hryvnias. The award is open to young scientists under the age of 35 whose works contain original scientific results confirmed by patents, approbation, or practical implementation.
