Additional Admission to Postgraduate Studies
From October 5th to October 30th, 2023, the third stage of admission of applications and documents, competitive selection, and enrollment for the attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy degree will take place exclusively with the funds of individuals and/or legal entities.
Specifically, the following schedule is outlined:
- Acceptance of applications and documents: October 5th to October 20th, 2023.
- Entrance examinations: October 23rd to October 26th, 2023.
- Recommendations for enrollment: October 27th, 2023.
- Compliance with the admission requirements by applicants funded by individuals and/or legal entities: Until October 29th, 2023.
- Enrollment for education funded by individuals and/or legal entities: October 30th, 2023.
- Education begins on November 1st, 2023.
During the submission of a paper-based application, the applicant must personally provide the originals of the following documents:
- A document (one of the documents) verifying identity as stipulated by the Ukrainian Law on the Demographic Register and documents confirming Ukrainian citizenship, identity, or special status.
- Military registration documents (military ID for conscripts or temporary identification for those liable for military service).
- A document of state standard concerning previously obtained educational degree (educational and qualification level) based on which admission is sought, along with its appendix.
In addition to the paper-based application, the applicant should include:
- A copy of the document (one of the documents) verifying identity as stipulated by the Ukrainian Law on the Unified State Demographic Register and documents confirming Ukrainian citizenship, identity, or special status.
- A copy of the document of state standard concerning previously obtained educational (educational and qualification) level, based on which admission is sought (master's or specialist diploma), along with a copy of its appendix.
- A copy of the document containing the taxpayer identification number (except for individuals who, due to their religious beliefs, have refused to accept the taxpayer identification number and have the corresponding notation in their passport).
- Four color photographs sized 3×4 cm.
- Personal personnel record.
- A list of published scientific works (if applicable).
- A research proposal.
The research proposal is a scientific text of up to 5 pages, prepared by the applicant for doctoral studies, in which the topic of the future dissertation research is justified, its relevance, the state of development in domestic and foreign science, and possible solutions to the stated tasks are presented. Requirements for research proposals are determined by the schools/institutes according to the specifics of each specialty.
Entrance examinations for admission to doctoral studies for the Doctor of Philosophy degree consist of:
- An entrance examination in the specialty (in accordance with the standard of higher education for a Master's degree in the relevant specialty).
- An entrance examination in a foreign language.
- Presentation of research proposals on the topic of future scientific research.
- Additional Examination in the Specialty (taken by individuals entering doctoral studies based on NRC7 from a different field of knowledge (specialty) than that indicated in their diploma).
