The Journalist's Day

Today, Ukraine marks Journalist's Day — a professional holiday for those who are the first to learn the news and the first to bring the truth. At a time when words are a weapon and objectivity is a virtue, your work carries not only professional value but also deep civic significance.
In the conditions of full-scale war, journalism is not merely a profession, but a mission. You document the truth, debunk fakes, and bring Ukraine’s voice to the world. Thanks to you, we see the faces of heroism, hear the voices of those who have suffered, and remember what we are fighting for. Your courage, integrity, and dedication to truth strengthen our unity and our hope.
Within the walls of Karazin University, a new generation of Ukrainian journalists is being formed. The Faculties of Sociology and Philology are educating professionals who can see deeper, analyze more broadly, and speak with the voice of truth. Your knowledge, experience, and perseverance are shaping a new information culture in Ukraine.
May your journalism be strong, responsible, and alive. May your words serve justice, freedom, and humanity.
Thank you for your efforts, your courage, and your commitment to the truth.
Happy holiday!
