On January 22, Ukraine traditionally celebrates Unity Day marking the day of proclaiming the Act of the Reunion of the People’s Republic of Ukraine and the People’s Republic of West Ukraine, which took place in 1919. The adoption of this document was of great political and historical significance ― for the first time in several centuries, the Ukrainian lands were united into a single independent state.

This holiday has been officially celebrated in Ukraine since 1999. It symbolizes the unity and indivisibility of the Ukrainian lands, solidarity, spiritual consolidation of the Ukrainian people.

Congratulations on Unity Day! May all Ukrainians keep the strength of spirit, vigor and optimism, harmony and faith in the worthy future of Ukraine!
