Constitution Day of Ukraine: the University congratulates
Today we celebrate an important event in the history of our country - the day when the Constitution was adopted, which defines the basic principles and values of our country.
The Constitution Day is a holiday that reminds us of the importance of law, freedom and democracy, which are the foundations of modern Ukraine.
The Constitution of Ukraine has become the foundation of our independence and the guarantor of people's freedoms. It defines the rights and obligations of every citizen, the principles of public administration, the principles of social protection and other important aspects of our lives.
The first attempts to lay the foundations of Ukrainian constitutionalism were made back in 1710 with a document that first described Ukraine as a full-fledged state and part of the West. This is the Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk, an outstanding historical monument of Ukrainian and European thought, one of the first constitutions in the world.
Today, we understand more than ever the meaning and importance of the fundamental principles enshrined in the Basic Law of our country. Because of the war unleashed by Russia, Ukrainians are making incredible efforts, at the cost of their own lives, to defend the sovereignty and independence of our homeland and to destroy those who have encroached on the inviolability of our land.
The Constitution of Ukraine will always remain an eternal symbol of our democracy, the rights and freedoms of the free and unbreakable Ukrainian people.
Happy Constitution Day!
