Chemist’s Day: The University Celebrates

Every year on the last Sunday of May, Chemist’s Day is celebrated throughout Ukraine.

Chemistry is the science of the essence of things. It opens before humanity a deep understanding of nature, provides keys to technological breakthroughs, and lies at the foundation of many achievements in modern science and industry. Chemistry is not just formulas and reactions — it is a way of thinking that changes the world.

Specialists in the chemical field perform incredibly important work every day — researching, analyzing, synthesizing, inventing. Thanks to their precision, persistence, and scientific imagination, we have new materials, medicines, and technologies of the future.

The School of Chemistry of Karazin University has made a significant contribution to the development of science both in Ukraine and beyond over many years. Our professors and students continue the traditions of accuracy, curiosity, and innovation — traditions on which true science is built.
