Education

Every year, on February 20 Ukraine commemorates the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and recalls the deed of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity who sacrificed their lives defending the democratic ideals, human rights and freedoms, standing up for the European choice of our country.

The events of November 2013—February 2014 became critical in the country’s history and a starting point of democratic reforms in Ukraine. The Heavenly Hundred Heroes are more than a hundred peaceful protesters, people of different age and professions who sacrificed their lives defending the ideals of European Ukraine. The participants of the Revolution of Dignity will forever remain a symbol of heroism, sacrifice and patriotism.

On this day, many Ukrainian cities hold memorial actions paying tribute to those killed at the Maidan. Karazin University remembers the deed of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and cherishes their memory.

May the glory of the heroes live forever!
