On 10–12 June 2025, in Orsay, France, at the Irène Joliot-Curie Laboratory of the Two Infinities (IJCLab) of Paris-Saclay University, a joint Franco–Ukrainian seminar "Instrumental Developments for High Energy Physics" was held, dedicated to the memory of Academician-Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Mykola Fedorovych Shulha — an outstanding scientist and a driving force behind the development of high energy physics in Ukraine.
The seminar programme covered topics in quantum electrodynamics in matter, medical physics, accelerator physics, neutrino physics, nuclear physics, and detector physics for ionising radiation.
Karazin University was represented at the event by a large delegation led by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Zarif Nazirov, including members of the International Office and researchers — graduates and staff of the O. I. Akhiezer Department of Nuclear and High Energy Physics and the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Nanotechnologies of the Education and Research Institute “School of Physics and Technology”, which was founded and for many years headed by Mykola Fedorovych.
Karazin staff are actively involved in research in the field of high energy physics and make a significant contribution to ongoing international projects in this area.
