Karazin University Delegation Visits Azerbaijan

International activities

A delegation from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has paid an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. The delegation included Vice-Rector Zarif Nazirov and Dean of the School of Economics Vitalii Dyachek.

During the visit, representatives of Karazin University visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan and the Ukraine Trade House in the Republic of Azerbaijan. One of the key events was a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Yurii Husiev, as well as Member of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Maharramzade Alibala Sattar, a recipient of the Ukrainian Order of Saint George.

During the meetings, the delegation introduced the history, current activities, and international engagement of Karazin University. Educational programs and scientific projects being implemented at one of the oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions in Ukraine were presented. The discussions covered a broad range of topics — from international cooperation and academic exchange to opportunities for Azerbaijani students to study in Ukraine.

Special attention was given to the topics of war and post-war recovery, as well as the development of partnerships that help strengthen international relations, foster the advancement of science and culture, and support peace and mutual understanding between nations.
